Privacy policy
Your money is your business.
Effective October 20, 2026
The short version: Till doesn't collect any data. Everything you enter stays on your device, or in your own private iCloud if you turn on sync. Till has no servers, no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
Who we are
Till is made by Jamie Watkins (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy, email callans.creations1@gmail.com.
What Till collects
Nothing. We don't run servers for Till, and the app doesn't send your information to us or to anyone else. There's no sign-up, no bank connection, no analytics or advertising code, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
What stays on your device
The amounts, places, categories, notes, budgets, goals, accounts and receipt photos you add are stored in the app on your iPhone (and your Apple Watch, if you use it). Only you can see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you turn on iCloud sync, your Till data is stored in your own private iCloud account so your devices can match. It's handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We can't see or access it. You can turn sync off at any time in Till's Settings.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Till with Siri, Apple turns what you say into text and passes it to Till on your iPhone, which fills in the entry and asks you to confirm before saving. Siri requests are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Till doesn't receive or store recordings. You can turn Siri off for Till in the app's Settings.
Camera, photos, microphone and speech
- Camera and photos: used only when you scan or pick a receipt. Till reads the receipt on your iPhone and keeps the photo with that entry, on your device.
- Microphone and speech recognition: used only while you hold the mic button to say an expense. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone where your device supports it. On devices that don't support on-device recognition, Apple's speech service may process the audio; Till tells you when that's the case.
- Face ID: used only to unlock Till if you turn on App Lock. Till never sees your face data; iOS only tells it whether unlocking succeeded.
You can change any of these permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
Apple Intelligence
On supported devices, Till can use Apple's on-device language model to read text and answer questions about your spending. This runs on your iPhone; your data isn't sent to us.
Backups and exports
When you export a CSV or PDF, or make a backup, Till saves the file only where you choose (for example, the Files app). What happens to that file afterwards is up to you.
Crash reports
Till doesn't include any crash-reporting or analytics tools. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. These don't include the information you enter in Till.
Children
Till doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change ever meant Till would collect data, we'd ask you first in the app.
